By car

From Austria

Vienna/East Austria 

From Vienna, drive via Linz, Salzburg and Rosenheim to Innsbruck and on to the Brenner Pass. From here, take the A 22 motorway to the Bozen Süd exit, then follow the MeBo expressway (SS 38) to Meran and exit at Marling (approx. 30 km). Follow the main road until you come to the village of Marling. Drive through the village and, after the railway crossing, follow the road signs to our La Maiena Meran Resort.

Vorarlberg/West Austria

From Vorarlberg, drive via Feldkirch, Bludenz and St. Anton am Arlberg to Landeck, and continue on the Reschenstraße (B 180) to Nauders, then onwards to the Reschen Pass and the Italian border. Cross the border and continue along the SS 40 main road to Spondinig. Here, take the second exit at the roundabout and continue along the SS 38 to Algund, where the SS 40 merges with the MeBo expressway (SS 38). Continue along the expressway in the Bozen direction, and take the Marling exit (less than 2 km). Follow the main road until you come to the village of Marling. Drive through the village and, after the railway crossing, follow the road signs to our La Maiena Meran Resort.

From Germany

Via Garmisch-Partenkirchen

From Garmisch-Partenkirchen, drive to Imst and take the A 12 towards Bregenz. At the Oberinntal motorway junction, take the Italy/Switzerland exit and drive through the Landeck tunnel. From Switzerland

Zurich

From Zurich, drive via Landquart, Klosters and Davos to Zernez, then follow Route 28, pass the Ofen Pass and continue onwards to Münstertal and then Italy. Take the SS 41 main road through Taufers in Münstertal and on to Glurns. At the town square, turn off to the right towards Schluderns and drive onwards to the traffic lights, where you turn off to the right towards Meran. Continue along the SS 40 main road to Spondinig. Here, take the second exit at the roundabout and continue along the SS 38 to Algund, where the SS 40 merges with the MeBo expressway (SS 38). Continue along the expressway in the Bozen direction, and take the Marling exit (less than 2 km). Follow the main road until you come to the village of Marling. Drive through the village and, after the railway crossing, follow the road signs to our La Maiena Meran Resort.

From St. Gallen and Thurgau

From the south

By train

Getting to La Maiena by train could not be more simple or worry-free. Depending on where you’re coming from, you can get here by Swiss, Austrian or German national rail, combined with Italy’s Trenitalia and Südtiroler Bahn, South Tyrol’s local service. For information regarding timetables, tickets and prices, please check the websites of the respective train services.

By bus

Flixbus 

Flixbus: In South Tyrol, the Flixbus stops in Meran and Marling amongst others. This long-distance bus provides a link between European countries all year round. Flixbus runs to South Tyrol several times a day from the Munich and Innsbruck transport hubs.

Meraner Land Express

Every Wednesday and Saturday from the end of March until mid-November, the Meraner Land Express provides transport to Meran and the surrounding holiday region. Meraner Land Express buses leave from Munich Central Bus Station (ZOB). The cost includes a return shuttle service to and from your holiday accommodation. 

Südtirol Express from Switzerland

Every Saturday from the beginning of April to the end of October, the Südtirol Express runs from St. Gallen, Winterthur and Zurich, transports travellers to South Tyrol. The route leads through the Vinschgau, Meran and the surrounding area and Eppan and Kaltern. A shuttle service to and from your holiday accommodation is included in the price.

By plane

Direct flights to Bozen: Several times a week, SkyAlps fly from Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Kassel and Stuttgart straight to South Tyrol’s capital city of Bozen, close to Marling and La Maiena. We will be happy to organise your shuttle service from and to the airport.
